DescriptionThis object is missing its outer case, but fortunately this does not affect the functioning of the musical instrument. The softwood frame features some simple construction to make the instrument work. Turning the crank at the front initiates the action of the mechanism. Attached to this crank is a wooden worm that provides the transmission, the worm running in the wooden gear ring of the wooden cylinder. Attached to the wooden worm shaft is a wooden crank-construction that sets the bellows in motion. By turning the crank clockwise, the bellows pump air and the cylinder rotates.
