It shows the time in seconds, minutes and hours, as well as the day, date and month. But it can also read the constellation, the season, the year, whether it is a leap year or not, the moon phase, and whether the sun is up or down. The dial also shows the melody selection, whether the clock is set to strike the time or not, and whether the melody is set to play or not. Finally, it can also display the equation of time: the current difference between true or solar time and civil or mean time. This difference can be as small as zero and as large as 16 minutes. Accompanying textsThis clock has 15 bells and 26 hammers and can play one of the following melodies at both the half hour and the full hour: 1 Early morning 2. Ich bete an die macht der Liebe 3. This clock was probably made by Jansen over the course of several years in the workshop of a Mr Brokke, along with two other table clocks of the same genre.
