This is an early music box, made in one of the smaller factories in Leipzig. Although modern hand-operated music boxes are quite common and easy to find, historic specimens are quite rare. Bruno Rückert sold his music boxes under the brand names of Lyraphon and - by far the better known - Orphenion.
