DescriptionAnimaltroniek is an audiovisual installation that reflects a world in which robotics, mechanics and electronics merge into 'cuddly' creatures. The project is inspired by 'Animatronics', a discipline that is mainly known within the development of film and television.

Robots and robotics are playing an increasingly important role in our society. Experiments are being conducted with technological imitation on both a physical and psychological level. What if this gets out of hand and takes on a life of its own? This project investigates the turning point in movement and visual language, through which the human brain 'changes' and something is experienced as realistic.
